Summer Bruise

This breakfast fruit slushie is packed with nutrients and will give you a kick start to your summer morning. It’s perfect after a work out and before your main breakfast meal, or as a mid morning snack. Refreshing, and a great way to use up those last few bits of fruit at the end of the shopping week! But why a summer bruise you ask? Well it’s the exact same colour as the bruise on my butt from falling over while enjoying the summer weather with an outdoor skate. Seemed appropriate!

Ingredients

  • 5 blackberries
  • 1 small banana
  • 5 pieces watermelon
  • 3 lychees – freeze fruit overnight
  • 100ml water or apple juice

Method

  • Freeze all fruit overnight
  • Blend in bullet blender for 2 minutes or until all ingredients are smooth
